Just another day in the office then, eh?

News broke this morning about a triple homicide here that happened sometime tuesday. Pictures shown of the residence were very familiar, as we had just performed some work at the house for the residents not too long ago! WTF? Law enforcement officials described the scene as the "most bloody and disturbing" they have seen in their careers. They have one guy in custody but he has not been charged with the murders. They do not believe he was responsible for that crime. Several counts of grand theft, forgery, etc. They have an APB out for a subaru wagon (good luck...too many granola and carpet munchers around here to blend in with). No details about the victims, but they were listed as a woman and 2 men. Fits the description of our clients alright. I cannot imagine any other scenario.

Damn. We once had a woman bring in a subwoofer from a guy who bought it a week earlier. She was demanding a refund. Upon close observation it looked like red wine had been splashed on mart of the grille. It wasn't wine. The guy took his life. Saw it on the nightly news. Vietnamese guy.

Anyhow, aside from that, we are doing some spring cleaning in the office. I just tested and tossed a stack of laserdisc players, VCRs, receivers, etc. We have a huge warehouse/barn full of old crap to sort through. My idea of sorting this mess is to load up the dumpster. But there is probably some usable old stuff in there. I am staring now at an old Mcintosh MC240. It just needs retubed. There is also a stack of old Mac gear on a shelf....wood sides...a tuner and integrated amp it looks like. I need to clean it up and test it. 4 magenpan speakers to connect to it. And about a half dozen old turntables to check out. Fun stuff I tell ya. The garage sale will be EPIC!

Let me know what Mac, and Maggies you have!

Got a call from my wife today and there was something wrong with our 11 month old chocolate lab. I met them at the vet and found out she had been hit by a car. Someone hit her and did not even stop! She is home now but is not doing well. My boys are sleeping on the living room floor next to her tonight to comfort her. When we ask my 8 year old if he wanted to go to his room he said "there is no way I am leaving her alone tonight".

As for what I did today. I was stuck in traffic minding my own business allowing people to merge since I was in the far right lane. Well some asshat in a big ass dodge truck flipped me off for no other reason then letting him in...I was like WTF?

So I through up my finger to tell him he was number 1 when I got next to him and he got all angry and upset.

F*@&#^ dodge drivers, I sware! they are the most aggressive angry people on the road.

Took a couple old AVR's to the recycling center, and found one old Newcastle that would actually work as a FM tuner, so I am using it in my storage building where I keep the JD Mower and all the other lawn junk.

Connected it to some old 45 ohm M&S intercom patio speakers.

Taking bets on how long it''l last... :-)

A one ohm Bose speaker, May have a short lifespan, but 45 ohms... volume might be lacking, but no worries for the amp!

Terrible news. Kaner was hit by a car a couple of years ago and died at the scene. We still aren't over it. Hopefully she pulls through.

The ONE Dodge I had, I was very aggressive when I was driving...

But it was 69 Charger 426 Hemi in "Plum Purple w/Black", and it was something of a rule that you "ran" the road... :-)

Ha ha mine was a 73 Charger SE 440. Currently beginning the process of trying to hunt it down again, was told it got a nice e restore a few years ago. That car was bad fast after I was done with it. Almost untouchable with a 10-15 mph rolling start. 2.76 gears and gobs of torque.

Yeah I was a little more agressive then.

Current whip 2008 Ram crew cab Hemi, sorta fast truck, not nearly as agressive a driver especially since gas is $4.00 here again.

Nice. Was just saying a couple days ago that I'd love a 70-71 Challenger in Plum Purple. Love that color.

It was just one of those cars....

The designers hit it dead on with the 60's Charger.

Love the look of the new Challenger. Do one of those in Plum Purple, and I might have to buy another Dodge.

Being from that same era, I believe that color was called Plum Crazy.

It was officially Plum Crazy Purple..

No one I knew back then called it anything but Plum Purple though, and no one could seem to color match if you dinged it up.
