I'll give you something almost better. Elan has a driver for bluebolt. Put the router and modem on outlets on a 4315. Then put a toggle button on the home screen of the Elan user interface. Make that button power cycle the bluebolt to reboot the network. Set the toggle button so that when the related outlet is on, it automatically turns the toggle button back on. Now, If they have a problem, they reboot their network without having to get out of their chair.

Of course, setup the auto ping and reboot on the bluebolt too so most of the time any network problems are self correcting before they know it.

I saw on the Elan forum that someone has the one way commands to control a wattbox too. As soon as I have time I'm going to try it because I prefer ovrc.

I already do all that with cable boxes with Wattbox IP and Total control. The TC Wattbox driver includes codes for on/off, or reset of each individual outlet. Definitely setup auto ping for the router to reboot the router and modem

I doubt I will see an Elan driver for wattbox any time soon since it competes directly with a core product

I can do this with wattbox and digital loggers in C4. It is very nice

That's too bad. I've used both and much prefer wattbox over bluebolt.

Here is something perhaps a bit different.

Finished the installation of the DRO (digital readout) system on my milling machine.

I today had a thought.

Almost forgot what it was.

I think the title of this thread, in my case, needs to be changed to "What Didn't You Do Today?'.. ;-)

Time for another glass of 2005 Bodegas Lan Gran Reserva Rioja.. :-)

Yesterday I terminated 128 mic channels into DB25 connector for a recording studio that's part of a residential project.

Have also been terminating lots of Ethernet and speaker cabling.  This is speaker wiring at one of the 5 racks.

Nice work. I can remember setting up a soldering table under the wire bundle back in the day. I would sit there for hours getting connectors on. I don't miss it :).

We got to watch Lindsey Vonn work out in the pool yesterday. Defiantly not a bad day!

Dude, she could so kick you ass -- but you'd enjoy that too much.

Today I had to go back to customer's house that has 3 MX-980 that John helped me update yesterday.
One in the bedroom has DTV power off button that the other remotes/rooms do not.

3 times yesterday I asked my customer to test, reset the remotes when he called that telling me that that the updated button didn't appear on the remote, even though I demonstrated the feature, WHILE HE was holding the controller and pressing the button.
One of the things I asked him, 3 separate times, was which of the MX-980 remotes he was holding. Each time he tells me it was the one for the master bedroom.

So today, I show up and go to master bedroom and what do I find on the cradle? The living room remote, not the bedroom one.
Swapped remotes around and left.
It's a good thing that they weren't home as I was not a happy camper.

Neither will he be when you send him a bill for $500 to move remote from one cradle to another.

John, I will give you the whole thing if you're willing to talk to them and get that money out of them.

A small label on the back of the remote with the room name would have solved this on the phone. I know you know that that's why im confused you didnt have one.
C'mon Mario.
