I disagree. Plugging things in is fairly easy. Lifting over 100 lbs of awkward weight up and out to hang on a wall with two bad shoulders is a much bigger issue for me.

OK not talking about your Olympic work out session.

I would not mount those by myself.

At least they no longer weigh anything like what they used to... Our first 60 took four of us to lift...

Yeah the old ones felt like they were filled with bricks!  Now I can mount a 55 or 60 by myself.  The problem comes when your replacing an old 50"+ and you have to figure out some awkward 10 year old bracket and pull off a heavy beast solo.  That sucks!

I completed this job two years ago, Was back to do some upgrades and figured i would snap some pictures. This is the first time im seeing the back yard in the summer with all of the plants in full bloom. This isnt my largest outdoor project but it is one of my favorites, And i didnt have to sign an NDA so i can share the pictures :)

The client wanted bose around the pool area but i will say after about an hours worth of tuning i got them to sound pretty dang awesome! The middle patio is sonance FMS660's and the covered patio has JBL control subs/in-ceiling speakers, That absolutely rocks the cover and is exactly what the client wanted. There is also an outdoor TV.

Parts Used:

DBX Zone Pro 640
3x Crown CDi 1,000
Denon CD player
Iport Ipod dock
Russound AM/FM Tuner
RTI XP6
RTI U2 outdoor remote
10x bose freespace 51's
5x Sonance FMS660's
6x JBL control 42c
2x JBL Control 40 CST
Sunbrite TV
DirecTV
ZeeVee

I actually sat on our Pontoon boat for most of the day. Torch Lake is quit nice any time of the year.

Also took some D-Tools training in the morning that made me realize how much more this stuff can do. It is totally worth every penny even if you use 1/3 of it.

Time to open my growler from Shorts brewery (great local brewery here in Bellaire, Mi).

I like vacation!

I got the family truckster loaded for a road trip to eastern Washington. It is going to be above 100f so we are not going to stray far from the lakes. There will be laser light shows and fireworks at Grand Coulee Dam on the 4th but the reat of the time I am going to be up close and personal with my umbrella and inner tube.
The best part is no cell service at Lake Cerlew.

I just got back from Boise last weekend after being there for nearly 2 weeks. The first half was getting stuff figured out and in order and the last half was work on my house up there. I had a bad run of a few tenants and also wanted to make some upgrades.

My brother moved back and we worked out a trade of work for rent, so he's getting the place back in order while they get settled in for the next 6-12 months. However, I wanted to help get some upgrades done like cutting out the basement egress windows for firecode so that I can count the finished basement squarefootage.

I also had an idea of how to change the layout a bit to improve the living space and section of the laundry room, mechanical room and change the entry for one of the bedrooms.

Thanks to some great friends and family that pitched we got a lot done. Some of this was first time work for me. The house is 50+ years old and has its downsides, but its been an okay rental. Hoping these improvements will help. I had carpet before that just kept getting trashed. The new flooring is a laminet rubber type floor called resilliant floor (or something like that) but its 100% waterproof and life time warranty, so should be a good choice for a basement of a rental home.

Here are some pics.

The new casement windows come in on Tuesday!

I also scored while there and got a brand new AC unit installed for $950 thanks to a friend of my moms. The unit I had crapped out about 5 years ago.

Not the flooring or paint, that was done today. The floor is just click together stuff. I wasn't there for that my friend and brother got that done today. But the digging, concrete cutting, wall reframing, door hanging, sheetrock, window framing, taping....yes, started the Sat before fathers day...skipped fathers day, then finished up Friday night.

It was me and at least 1-2 guys helping most days. I had my nephews moving dirt around and doing other site cleanup that isn't shown. Spent a lot of time learning and watching vids on how to do the windows.

The blocks of concrete that came out had to be 700+ pounds. Just to flip one over with 4 guys lift was a strain. We also got screwed about half a day b/c of problems with the rented saw having to take the first one back b/c it was slipping, 2nd one worked great but blade finally died, went back to get new blades and they gave us old saw saying that it was fixed....well it wasn't so wasted more timing fusing with that...had to go back AGAIN the next morning for the old saw back to finally finish last couple cuts. Probably wasted 5-7 hours.
