So we recently moved, and in my room the only place I could place a desk for my desktop is at a corner. I have a 32" Insignia LCD that I use as my Monitor and I have always had it mounted for a cooler look, and a little more space. So today me and my dad had an Idea for the mount and we didn't have to spend any extra money!

Sorry about the poor pics, all from my phone. Also, I know it doesn't look level, but it's only because i took the photo crooked. Sorry.

Ali...Wow! That's pretty creative there buddy. Thanks for the out of focus disclaimer, because I was reaching for my reading glasses!

Thanks Mr. Stan! My dad just got back from L.A., I'm going to get his camera and takes some clear pictures and repost in about 10mins.

Edit: Take that back. He left his camera at his job site. Sorry.

Saw The Who Live years back in Birmingham UK, front row and was totally deaf for two days.

Stood right in front of speaker, wow my head hurt...

OMG!!! I think all of the WHO seriously ended up very hearing impaired... I saw them in Seattle and sat straight back from the stage in the cheap seats.
It was, without a doubt the loudest show I'd experienced... and also the best.

The synergy between them, and their timing was unreal... Especially Pete Townsend, and Keith Moon --- talk about being in tune with one another. It was the last show of the US tour (early seventies) and they trashed all their equipment at the end... I slipped down by the stage after the show, and managed to find a sliver of wood from Mr. Townsend's smashed Rickenbacher... and carried it around in my wallet for years as a souvenier, that is until I lost my wallet.
Seeing Townsend jumping around doing his "windmill" guitar playing was quite cool.
Moon was playing like a wild man. It was really something.
I was talking to my pal Ross @ A*AD the other day about it, and HE was one of the local soundguys at that same show... He was, like you - standing down in front -- stunned by both the musicianship and volume.

Ross was a sound guy in the 70's?

I am trying to picture his hair right now. I may have to ask him for a picture!

if he never gives you more than two of anything, then yep, he was a sound guy

(sound guys can't count past two... check, one two...)

the other reason sound guys never count past two is they're lazy... on three, you lift!
We can do it my way, or we can do it my way while I yell. The choice is yours.

Yeah, Just out of high school, started college & his first gig was for a local Pro Sound company that worked at the local venues... We were laughing about it, as he dropped out of it after a while, thinking it'd be more fun to peddle HI FI.
He and I worked together @ S-Lab & Mag...(back in the good old days), Then he went to Def-Aud after I left... Mmmm does that mean I'll be working @ AV*D????
He's a great guy with a lot of interesting experiences and stories, and the most helpful, knowledgeable guy any disty could ask for!

I drove for 40 miles, took a ferry, drove another 25 miles to go hear a guy's system... he has a pair of the MBL101 extremes...

He was a no - show. He forgot and went to the Seahawks / Bears game.

Ali, you have no need to apologize to us. You sound like you're seriously codependent.

You know the definition of a codependent? That's when you're on your deathbed and someone else's life passes before your eyes...

Oh, and today I went to a buildsite and fixed the cabling the freakin' drunk drywallers were careless enough to butcher. Had to fish some new lines so I used a hammer to open the walls. Next time I'll bet the builder keeps a better eye on 'em.

I broke out the Harley and went on the annual toy run.

It was 78 degrees........is this really November???

Normally it's 15 degrees!!!

I think I could get use to the global warming if it doesn't kill us.

It was too nice to go home so we hit the road for a few hours, had diner at Carrabba's in a town about 90 miles away, meandered our way back home, fired up the DVR and watched football and the Homestead race on the patio!

A GREAT DAY!!! I think I'll go to bed now.
Every day is a good day.......some are just better than others!

Today I told my friend to get a new TV.

I kid you not, he bought this thing for $100 about 7 years ago and has been using it every day since.

Aparrently his friend was having a party one night with a few candles lit around the place. The night went on and pretty-much everybody left. The rest fell asleep until they woke to this strange burning smell.....

HOLY CRAP! It's amazing they weren't asphyxiated with the burning plastic! Whoa... Uh were they doing anything "recreationally" when the candles were burning ???
Well, that ain't my business, but just glad I didn't read about these guys in the newspaper...

Might give them an asbestos TV cover for the Holidays.
