From what I've seen, it is quite solid compared to initial release of PEP2. Will be playing more over the weekend.

Not from anyone I know. It is a matter of trust, agreements and relationships. It will be released, or at least that is the plan.

Frank,

OMG!!!!

I cannot believe you want a copy of PEPV3 that might not be fully tested or known to run well on your PC/remote.

I also suppose you want someone to host the XXXMB download on a very special FTP site "just for you?"

From me??? Not NO!!!, But HELL NO!!!

There are BETA and NDA agreements that prevent me from doing this.

IMO, the community was jumping off to another remote brand 2 weeks ago, now it cannot WAIT to get its hands on software that, really, is not necessary unless one owns a TSW9500.

Give me a break, please be patient!!!!

Barry Gordon is gentlemen at least he wasnt rude. This forum has literally gones silly know you cannot ask without getting your head bitten off.

And for your information Lyndel Im keeping my remote I actually asked in a thread asking for a model of battery for the TSU 9800 as I wanted to keep it. I decided I dont want to go on a new system.

And if the PepV3 is for the TSW9500 then how hard was it too say no need Frank its actually for the TSW9500. My response then would of been: thank you lyndel then no need to worry.

Still shaking my head!

grow up and learn some manners.
Thanks

Frank

Frank,

You are correct. My response may have been a bit abrupt/rude and for that I will apologize. But, even at 43, I refuse to grow up/old. :-)

My comments, were out of frustration as several members have posted lately asking where is the software and when can they get a copy even though I spoke up earlier today stating it was in Beta (Posts 44/46 of this thread).

Given that I previously stated that it was still in beta, I presumed that would be enough. IMO, there was no need to ask as it is not publicly available, either in jest, or sarcastically.

Within the context of my previous posts about the ongoing beta, the ill-will of the community these last 2 weeks, and the fact that the beta testers are working quietly and diligently to try and get the Beta testing completed in what I sometimes view as a "thankless job", I "felt" as though your question kind of rubbed salt in an open wound.

All I can do is ask for forgiveness and hope to do better in the future.

Lyndel

P.S. And yes, I know you were asking about the batteries as I think I read that post/thread.

Hi Lyndel,

To be honest I have alot of a respect for you in this forum(your a genius no question about it) and I have to admit your response really upsetted me. But mate you last response I dont hold a grudge and I do forgive you (hope you can do the same for me as I was really angry), I apologise I did not read post 44 46. To be honest know that I know its for TSW9500 im not too fussed about it.

Mate as they water under the bridge lets continue on enjoying our great remotes.
Thanks

Frank

Frank,

Check RC mail, please. And, no, I am NOT a genius. Just a guy trying to figure out what he's gonna do with an obsolete Escient system, Sony DVD Changers, and finally a Pronto.

The overlay page functionality demo'ed at CEDIA (video) has lots of applications outside the TSW9500 such as a popup page for surround buttons for a receiver. Press one button and they show up. Press again and they are gone.

That's one of my tasks this weekend is to see how all that fits together and one of the main reasons that I want to see this software released. From what I've seen, I think I will like it.

Lyndel,

I feel for you bud. You suddenly have a large collection of cool toys from companies that have decided to turn the lights out. ;<) Laughing with you, not at you.

Hi Lyndel are they picking on you :)

thats not really fair with all the effort you put in the back ground, which a lot of people just dont realise, i carn't imagine how many hours you have devoted to the software for Pronto.

For all others after the PEP3, it will be avilable soon, but just needs a few hours with the Beta Test team.. so just be patient for a little while longer, as once you save a file in PEP3 you can not goback to PEP2.
Pronto still one of the best Wi-Fi Remotes,

My advice from Philips is that PEP3 will still go through the beta process and be released properly.
