I hope you posted this message in the Pronto forum, because there is an excellent and elegant way to do exactly what you are asking. You can't download the information FROM you CD players, but you can download from the Internet and send the information to your players, and also use that information in programming your Pronto using Supernudelist.
When ignorance is bliss, ‘tis folly to be wise.

Does anyone know where i can just get a simple iR extender for my handspring? not the springboard OmniRemote, i don;t want to pay another 60 $ for it, and does anyone have discrete codes for Sony Revivers, Panasonic TV's and HDTV boxes, moto/gi DTC 2k cable boxes, and pioneer DVD playersE?

I'm very tech savey and I must say that using the OmniRemote version 2.07 on my M130 color palm is the bomb! This program does it all and has the best features I've seen for ANY remote out there! Totaly customizable or you can just use the basic layout. It will run ANY button you can think of from ANY remote new or old! Small in file size, and doesnt have to run all the time! You use it when you want to use it:-)
I am controlling my whole entertainment center (8 devices) with the touch of the screen! When I'm not using it as a remote, my Palm also does ALL the jobs it was intended for, database's, contacts, games, etc etc... I HIGHLY RECOMEND OMNIREMOTE FOR ANYONE WITH A PALM! If nuthing else but for showing off to your friends that you can control their TV's and things from your palm :-) LOL... Enjoy..
