I got the email a couple of days talking about the rebranding of the Prodigy line for full liners..Only had a couple of products on the email...Does anyone know when this will be available? Will there be an MC3_PAK remote/ processor combo?

Hmmm...Hard to compete on one room solutions then without going Prodigy

Yep. Was kind of disapointed by that myself.

They HAVE to come up with a new price point on the MC3. I bet they drop its price when the CP3e comes out.
If you read the bottom of the email it says product is still available for special case or something like that. They seem to move 3 months too quick with everything right now.

Ya the lack of a $1k processor plus remote will make it hard to not have to go back URC/RTI on smaller jobs. I was excited wehm the plx3 pmc3 combo came out because finally I could really use Crestron on pretty everything.

Now we are back to a $2k+ entry into Crestron. Hell I'd be happy if they just gave us a version of the 2series pmc2 to stay competititve.

Welcome to AVAD. They have an exclusive here. There must be a strategy but it alludes me. Julie?

By the sounds of how they may be locking the Prodigy programming options down more, I don't know if Prodigy will even be an option for me.

I don't see how they can lock the prodigy systems out of simple or system builder. We have existing systems that work that will need updates.

As I understand it, new Prodigy products manufactured after a particular date will only be able to be programmed with Prodigy Conposer and Prodigy products made before this date will still work with System Builder or Simpl/VTProe.

I guess they can flash it with a new OS/firmware but why not just keep selling the standard piece to full line dealers with the ability to keep the SIMPL programming? Seems very odd to lure everyone of us in with all the damn Prodigy headaches them hand it over to everyone at AVAD?

I think I know what piece you're talking about and it looks like a great option for conference rooms, however I thought thepiecevwas going to list for closer to $1800-$2200

Going forward, for AVAD only dealers, this may make sense. For full line dealers it's a nightmare on many levels. Tech support, administration, RMA's etc.
My feeling is that they will probably have a select group of people handling TS on the Prodigy line so I can just imagine how long it wil take to get onsite help......

I'll wait to see how this plays out but if they don't offer us a comparable product at competetive pricing, I'll be looking at a different vendor for one room solutions.
