So this issue is driving me nuts. I have re-installed everything and crestron software too for the 6th time. Under system builder the only thing that will come up is prodigy/adagio configuration software. I need the MPC configurator and everytime I start it up it takes me to the "Help Manual" It also happens with MPS software.

My window's 7 desktop loads the software fine and can configure to my hearts content. Has anyone else had these types of issues? im at wits end and am extremely frustrated. I need to get this programmed tomorrow and really dont want to dis-assemble my desktop and drag it in there to configure this. Help Please TIA

Make sure user account controls are turned off before you install anything. If they are on, uninstall everything and run a registry scrubber until all clear then reinstall.

I'm actually at a Crestron training right now and I was having a problem myself getting into some software. I had to reinstall some stuff using Run as Administrator and open the software with Run as Admin also.
Who says you can't put 61" plasmas up on cantilever mounts using toggle bolts? <---Thanks Ernie ;)

We used CCleaner - and you just keep rerunning until all clean.

I've seen "user account controls" screw up all sorts of software. Make sure to completely Disable PRIOR to crestron software installation.

I haven't gotten to play with a MPC5 yet. Does it require you to enable CIP like some of the smaller touchpanels? (The TPS-4L comes to mind) Are you able to ping the device from your laptop?

hmm, thats a good thought. Training of this system was well....pretty much useless.

I am 99.8% sure its a network related. I had an issue getting the projector to connect through the network but after a few resets and a static IP its working fine. If i could just connect to the MPC5 i could try and give it a static and it should start to work. But, the weird thing is the IT guy cannot "see" it on the network. The ports enabled and defiantly connected and communicating somehow because the orange light is blinking like its transmitting/receiving.

Im probably just going to say screw it and use the USB port. With all the changes they laid on me the end product is nothing how the original was supposed to go, basically all the MPC5 is doing is shooting a screen trigger and turning on/off the PJ....Ugh.

I've never used a MPC5, but can't you use the USB port to verify and set the IP settigns?
