Anyone want to run through the process of adding an iPad to a existing Prodigy project without any iphone/ipad controls already?

I've added iPad to the project and compiled the project. How do I get it to the iPad?

Buy the app through app store, load it, follow instructions on iPad.

I went to the Apple App store, bought the app, fired it up on the iPad and pointed it to my PMC3's IP address and was done.

New to Crestron so haven't worked with the PMC2 but can't you expand the memory capability? The program must be on the processor to work, it can't just reside on the iPad.

The file resides on the processor. How big is the program that it won't fit on the PMC-2+?

I re-initialized the processor and uploaded the new files. It was able to take the file this time, but when I try to connect on the ipad, it gives me a timeout error. One time I got an error about unable to find the manifest file, but the rest of the times it was a time out error. There has to be a help file on how to do this somewhere. Jesus.

make sure on the Setup of the iPad that you have the port set properly (confirm using your project, the IP of the processor set properly and the password correct. Ensure that you have Web pages and mobility projects enabled on the processor (through Toolbox). Ensure that you don't have to forward any ports on the router. Also ensure that you are connecting the processor and the iPad to the same network.

I am having similar issues to CGAV as I am attempting to set up two iPhones on a system. Did you have to modify the port settings? I currently have one of the phones set to 41790 and the other to 41792 for Port A settings via my SystemBuilder program. Passcodes match up and the IP address is static. My guess is that it has something to do with the HTTP port.

My networking expertise is somewhat limited but am wondering if the issue has something to do with port forwarding via the router?

If you're on the local network, there is no port forwarding... If you're coming from outside the LAN, make sure you have the correct external IP, http://whatismyip.com and check under Toolbox to see what web port the processor has, likely it's 80, but check. Then just forward 41790 and 41792 to the processor, and same with the web port. Should be it.

When connected to the processor using System Info in Toolbox go to Functions - WebPages and Mobility Projects. Ensure that this is Enabled and that the files are stored on the processor. If they are not you will have to browse to them and add them to the processor.

As mlafayette said unless you are trying to connect using 3G or from an external network port forwarding is not necessary.

ive done everything listed. Everytime I try to connect, i get the error saying cannot find manifest. I've gone in and made sure it sent the files through toolbox, I can see it transferring the manifest file. I'm at a loss.

Try changing the processors HTTP port to something other than 80 (I use 8081) as port 80 is sometimes blocked by the ISP (you will have to forward this port in the router to the processor)

Ensure that your processor has a static IP outside the DHCP range and that you are using the proper IP address, also ensure that you are using the proper port. I just tested with our system and if the Port is not correct you will receive the manifest error.

Thanks for your help SWO. I still am having trouble. I'm of course on a static IP. I tried a different port, to no avail. I still get the "unable to download the manifest file error."

I go into the mobility projects under toolbox and i can see the farking Manifest file on the processor. Under /HTML/. I am pulling out my remaining hair.
