Well, got the remote and the software...
Software is very complicated, but it is the only way to have all the fine options on board... You can do practicaly anything you think of. Any command, delay, macro or activity can be saved, tried, corrected, learned from other remote, hex code, extensive URC online library... fabulous. Much more than I hoped for.

Less tech savvy people, who mistakenly thought they will handle the 810's software, made on forums almost a taboo of it! Is is not for begginers, not even for advanced, but for truly experienced people, who themselves installed their sound systems and understand how systems are connected and functioning.
You have to be willing to put some serious time in studying the program's extensive options and retry as many times as needed. It is not so simple to get 4, 5, 6 or more components to work as one just by one small piece of plastic, but with a help of MX-810 and its software it could be done!
I have spent three afternoons, mon-wed, and I am very satisfied! Got all the nuances, all the descreet codes, all the commands appearing right when I need them and where I need them... It is a pleasure.
Great remote URC! Thanks.

Advanced??? The 810 wizard is advanced?

That is too funny. Thanks for making my day!

The 810 wizard is no better than Harmony.

lol The mx-810 software is definitely one of those, for a consumer but designed by a techie...

Over-simplified and dependent on "wizards", features and options buried in weird places or some random wizard.

It can get the job done but it actually takes longer, because you have to navigate a wizard maze and figure out the proper order to ensure the settings you want don't get over-written or what ever... Been a few years since I programmed mine but I do remember there being an odd order to programming to get my system to work the way I wanted. Sort of reminded me of Windows 98, where odd things like that was very commonly a solution.

Heard they went back to a more simplified software which may look more complex but is basically the same features/options in less menus/pages. God I would love that, I dread reprogramming my m-810 just because the UI is confusing and usually I have to upload new config 10x because it locks up during upload (common bug I have read, well certainly common for me).

I don't think they changed the software at all. They just discoed the remote instead.
