At the XP-8 price point you are looking at comparing the Crestron series 2 processors, like the MC2E. The entry level prodigy retails at $700 or so I believe for both the remote and the processor. Half of just the XP-8.
yeah MC2E should be compared to a T1B and RP1. No comparison at that price point. Even the ZRP6 doesn't get you half the functionality of the MC2E(iphone, 2-way touch panels, IP, web interface....) The prodigy line does need a T2* type remote. The PTX3 is kind of in between the T2C and T3V, more like the MX5000. I am just scared from Pronto to sell a T3V or a remote without numeric keypad like the PTX3. if the price point comes in at $1000 retail that will be a hell of a device though.
