okay, but i can put the preamp anywhere along the cable right?

it's because i can't put the preamp immediately after my antenna. I can probably put it like 25-30 feet down the cable.

...or will that not work because I hear some say preamps only work after the antenna?

(and yes my cable is longer than 10 meters! the total run from antenna to tuner is probably around 130-140 feet unamplified RG6. I've seen people further than me get better reception :P)

just how powerful of a preamp/amp would I need, and what brand do you recommend for my situation?
