This is Barry Gordon one of the original Philips Pronto Remote contributors. I am still using my iPronto but eyeing the TSU9600. One simple question.

Has philips indicated if the TSU9600 can talk to a standard PC (With the proper application running) over a WiFi Network using something like TCP/IP with disclosure of the protocol. All I am interested in doing is talking to my Theater's PC over Wifi instead of IR. All I want to send the PC is the equivalent of the IR code that would have been sent by the remote. I would love two way comm at the message level, but would settle for one way.

Have they perhaps indicated they will do this in the future?

To me it would seem easy, jsut have a function that says issue TCP/IP instead of IR or RF. A capability such as this would open the world up in a very non proprietary manner which unfortunately is against Philips policy.
