I have 32v2000 and of course suffer the same problem.
Just thought you might get giggle to know I have just
spent the day trying to work out how to get the remote
to do both direct input and skip!!!!!
Just realised I need to set up the TV to skip AGHHHH
I have been using the V2500 codes as they include RGB
and component.
And use the inputnext for HDMi
I too have emailed sony and logitech, with no answer
Anyway thanks for sharing the solution.

Just got back from business trip so hadn't seen your post. I totally understand how frustrating this issue is. When everything else works we all seem to be going to extreme lengths to find a solution. Glad you are now on track.
Please let us all know if you happen to get a reply. I unfortunately have been to busy to spend any time on the support line to Logitech. In any case I think this issue is fair and squarely a Sony matter...
