Update:... I found the email for a head honcho at Harmony and told them how disappointed we were with the stability/readiness of the 890 and the email tech support (really slow turnaround compared to usual). I have to make a decision on whether to return this puppy soon, so wanted to see if they were awake and cared. I think they do... these people seem to stand behind their products.

As for our new 890, I do apologize for your less than perfect experience and I have asked our head of Customer Service () to get back with you and your specific situation. I do know that we have updated several firmware and software bugs within the last week on the 890 and yes "we are on it"!! I am confident that this product will deliver the experience you have waited for and appreciate your support of our Harmony line as well as Logitech products in the future.
