Well said, Bob. Although, the dish receivers now support up to 32 remote address, supposedly. I didn't see any need to spend another couple of hours on my code list after the first 19 addresses. (Although I would if someone asked for one of them.)
x_789 - I have 3 dish receivers in the same location. If the remote codes were not addressable, I wouldn't be able to have them together because one remote would control all of them at the same time. In a sense, you can think of 16 or 32 different remotes that send different IR codes can be read and used by the dish receiver. You get to choose which one to use.
