Has anyone had any experience with the sharp LC-20AD5E
the 20inch aquos LCD.
I have the same problem controlling over the RS232 interface.
I can turn the TV off but not on. I don't think I can
upgrade the firmware as there is no USB port.
Any suggestions?

I have the same problem with AD5 series. Using the procedure to unlock the switch on off the tv by rs232 the command still not work and I don't understand why.
Have you found a solution to your problem?
