Whether or not a company engaging in a unilateral price policy (price fixing) is illegal, it is unethical, and in my humble opinion -- UnAmerican! As a result, I refuse to purchase the products of such a company (hence I own no Lenox china) unless I can find it for significantly less than their jacked up price. For example, I have not upgraded to Microsoft Windows XP and have no plans to do so until I find it at the right price. And if that means the copy I find is a pirated copy, I will shed no tears, for I do not feel bound to be ethical towards an unethical company!
