Took it back and got the OFA 6011/6012 (can't remember what it is now sitting here at work, heh), 6-in-1 with Home Theater controls for $15.

The default code for Amp/Rcvr is for an RCA (code 1023). This one controls my amp seemingly fine. There were no specific advanced codes for 1023 at hifi-remote.com, but I tried the generic discrete power codes for a Pioneer (204, 208) and they worked.

My Toshiba DVD player has no discrete power codes (I read that no Toshiba does) so I will use the play-stop, play-power macros (play does turn on the DVD player even if no DVD is loaded).

Looks like I'm good to go now. My MX-500 is scheduled to be delivered today (yay!), so I get to set it all up tonight.
