I just picked up a like new JVC HR-VP673U, to Replace My HR-VP638 that took a hit by lightning last May (Or till when I have time to repair this something is out in the primary PS... I miss the shuttle jog)... the 638 has a very similar remote that controls every function of the 673 except for programming, there is no PROGRAM Key on the 638's remote.... as I thought for sure this remote would be fully compatable... poor design on JVC's part that the remote is absolutely necessary to program on this perticular model.

Hughes HRMC8 IR
Sony RM-V22
Sony RM-V8A
Along with a remote from my Toshiba 4700 DVD Player, each one of these remotes has a different nitche to fill, I would like to s-can them all for a single remote, however right now, is there any readily available (& cost effective) UR that has the capability to program the HR-VP673U?... or will I have to look for a LP20303-008?
