Just wanted to mention the IR input works great. BUT...for whatever reason they installed a STEREO 3.5mm jack for the IR input. You must cut off the 3.5mm stereo plug end off something- I use the Y adapters that used to come with Sonos players- twist the ring and tip together and splice to the signal on the 3.5 mono/URC end. Ground to ground. It’s also way better to use as heavy gauge wire as possible on the mono pigtail (not the crappy URC emitters) and quality splices (not dolphins). You can cut the plug end off a Xantech emitter and keep the flasher end to splice into a cat 5 down the road.
Are you guys suggesting that Sony uses a stereo connector instead of mono on the IR input?!!
I'm wore-out silly with f...... retard manufacturers. As I recall even their 232 jacks are sorta out of spec.
