I was never a fan of RTI either. Just didn't like the way it programmed compared to Control4 or even URC. It felt very cumbersome to me.
Also was not impressed with RTI tech support. Time after time the TS folks were pretty arrogant and nasty. Never experienced that level of offensiveness before with tech support calls. This was a few years back and it really turned me off to the brand as well.
It's personal and all of the programming interfaces are a moving target. I haven't seen TC2, I much prefer the RTI interface to TC. The new RTI Apex interface is a big step in the right direction.
I haven't had any major issues with RTI support. It seemed to be on a par with URC. To be fair (fortunately) I have very little experience with either support desk.
