FYI, the Clare Video Doorbell has been working well for us and we have around 10 in the field right now. And we no complaints from clients. It uses the Clarevision Plus app and no router settings need to be done.

They connect via 2.4 ghz wifi and use the existing doorbell power wire. So it's a great retro fit device.

The box comes with decent instructions and a resistor in case it's needed for some doorbells. It also comes with 4 different colored covers.

I am haven't installed the Ring before so, I can't compare the 2
