We use C4....Starting to get more and more clients asking about these products and being able to integrate them in.

C4's doorstation wont work for most of the homes around here due to the aesthetics (looks to commercial) and alot of clients want remote Iphone interaction with whoever is at the door.

What is the current state for integration with these video doorbell products?

+1, I don't like any of the Ring or Doorbird products / apps I've seen and will say loudly that none of them are worthy of 'professional' installation, much less integration.

Doesn't stop them from being sold though :(

I also agree.

I have had a DoorBird testing for many, many months.
The hardware is rugged and has stood up to me doing many abusive bad things to it.
It has lots of integration features others don't have. But they are things you are 99% likely not to be able to use, because of existing wiring.
From Day 1 the app has sucked and continues to suck. Setup sucks too.
From Day 1 the video quality of the camera has sucked.
From Day 1 the IP camera's ONVIF compliance has sucked, can only do the most basics with it.
And the price is considerably higher than others, which sucks!

Ring had a rocky start with high failure rates. It seems that has calmed down now. Interested to test a Ring Pro out. Ring is getting more & more integration partners everyday.

i know someone that uses ring and c4 and its pretty solid solution.
Ed will be known as the Tiger Woods of the integration business, followed closely with the renaming of his company to "Hotties A/V". The tag line will be "We like big racks and tight holes"...

They're such a joke. If you're home, fine but away, who cares.

Wait until they're at the cabin with 1 bar of cell service and they're pissed they can't get a picture when someone rings their door at home.

I've had decent progress with Doorbird and C4 for announcements but getting the video to stay stable in the navigator is something I stopped adding as a feature.

We sell Grandstream phones, so we tried the new gds3710 doorstation. The hardware is solid, and it works great when connected to the phone system, but the app loses connection all the time because it used UDP. If they can fix that, it would be the best on the market in my opinion.

We've done a lot of Doorbird, and we have had a lot of issues. They are all stable now, but it's not that great. Everything everyone else said above holds true.

Ring seems to work the best as a stand-alone, but there is no real integration with Control4.

I cannot believe in this day and age that no one has come out with a good door station. It's so frustrating.

Doorbird here as well. Should fit the bill for most clients. Integrates fine with C4 and you can make money on it.

No video into C4 with Ring, only motion and button integration

most of the homes around me are very traditional. Why isnt there a decent looking door solution.... :( C4's old door station looked nice, the new one is FUGS...

I think the only thing that would be acceptable to most clients would be the Ring Pro

How about Holovision? They're certainly in the traditional category!

I've been using Mobotix as a standalone setup and it's 'OK'. The app doesn't support push notifications (which isn't clearly stated in their sales propaganda), so I need to do some janky workarounds to get notification when offsite.
