Why would this be bad? As Americans we aeem perfectly happy to have government monitor us all for criminal activity to keep us safe. Both Bush and Obama support it and i assume Trump since he hasnt done anything to reverse it.

And how would you suggest we force Congress to change this? They haven't listened to most of what we have asked for, in decades. Other than anything that will get them reelected, that is.
