The AVR with the Preamp is the direction I'm heading. As far as him badmouthing us to other rich folks, not an issue as he has no friends, and the ones he does have know his "issues", I have talked with his wife, and she is very happy with us and appreciates how we deal with her husband, as one can imagine they tend to go through various contractors.
