Read the Declaration of Independence again. I'm serious and this is not sarcasm: I'm pointing you to a class document by some classy guys, whom we should emulate more than we do. They listed their reasons for their actions. It's not unreasonable for someone who comes here to ask for free consultation to do the same.

If you had said this at the start, you would not have gotten the reaction that you did. I'll bet you're sensitive about mentioning this because people will be dickheads once they know or because you'll be perceived as whining. Despite our often being immature here, we can set that aside and help a person.
