Yes, I do understand and I have used all of these projectors. I am saying the contrast and overall picture quality is better with the other two. Unless I am at the point where the pixel structure is noticeable I would rather have better contrast, black level, colors than higher resolution which is difficult to see the difference except on very large screens and close seating distances.

while I agree that black levels and color certainly are important, I think "close seating distance and very large screens" are part of the entire front projection culture. So pixel count is very important and will remain so. Especially when sitting 12-15' away from a 10' wide screen....or 10-11' away from an 8' wide screen.
