I don't disagree with with you, and simple network shares are a big ask from both the custom and retail channels - so in my mind we need to support both. Either way, DLNA/UPNP functionality is almost ubiquitous with NAS drives, upper end routers and PCs and they are all supported via HEOS and our 3rd party control protocol today. I've got my iTunes library on a 2TB DLNA NAS and have no issues surfing it via my 3rd party control system.
