Keep in mind it won't sense voltage. Mr. Murphy reminded me on Wednesday that he is always lurking....

Don't rely on the middle dot too much to determine the middle of the stud. The sensor spacing is such that you need to find both of the outer limits of when the LEDs change from one group of three to another.

I noted earlier that the unit needed AC scan, I guess you found out why. My DMM is the Fluke Electricians model [Link: fluke.com] and I find that the AC sensor is pretty reliable. I'm keeping my old Zircon around just in case too.
