Been frustrated with my stud sensor lately. (Yeah, I know)....even though it's a decent zircon i65 it's been intermittent and causing me to waste valuable time.
We all know all sensors have good point and drawbacks whether it's electronic or magnetic. I just wanted something that would work if I don't ask too much of it, just show me stud locations quickly and we're good.
So I found this and ordered one. It came today and I tried in my home and it's pretty awesome. I have yet to try on plaster walls or anything else. Not that this or any sensor would work with a wall I encountered this week that was actually 5/8" plywood under the drywall across the entire wall. Thank god I just bought that new Makita multi-tool!

But here is the stud sensor

Let us know how it works in the field, especially after one of the techs drop it a few times...

Looks pretty damn cool.

I always have had the best luck with the $10 stanleys. I splurged last time and bought the nice stanley with 3 depth modes and ac finder. It works great...even if there is osb behind the sheetrock. But this looks cool nonetheless. :)

I bought this one for one reason...rechargeable battery. I have the flashlights too, tired of buying batteries. All stud finders are suspect.

My sister wanted to know what I wanted from her for Christmas.

Pretty painless for her.

It's on it's way!
