I found that my problem actually wasn't the cradle (I think). One of the connection ports on the remote itself was wearing out and i wondered if it was making a good connection. So, I tore off 2 corners of aluminum foil about the size of a pencil eraser and covered gently the ports on the cradle, then, i set the remote on top of them in it's cradle position and it instantly "connected" and juiced up just fine. We were down to one bar of charging before that and I knew I had to figure out something. We have a new cradle on order though. Good solution in the meantime though.
