Strengths:A benchmark product, the MX-3000 with MRF-250 RF modules is a small/miniature lightweight version of the Crestron ST-1550C with the ability to upload/download programs by the user: the software allows you to import Pronto codes: it's IR output is powerful and it has a good number of hard buttons as well as a fully programmable LCD touchscreen
Weaknesses:The LED's on the charging base reflect off the MX-3000 and are bothersome: the screen brightness is marginally OK: there is some ongoing work needed on the software (easy to download program updates) On my wish list is an RS232 device control option
Review:I love this remote: it will be very popular with custom installers/High end users. Once you spend some time with the software it is easy to program and make changes: I use 3 MRF-250's: each is fully addressable. HTM is very responsive to customer feedback and continues to improve the product

Strengths:The remote has the feeling that it's built well. Not to lite and not to heavy. You can do basic controls with one hand(left) or grip comfortably w/two. Programming is straight forward and reliable. It has the right amount of hard buttons and large enough screen for viewing. The tilt turn-on switch is great as well. I feel it's going to be the king of remotes for the money and ease of use.
Weaknesses:I have run into some clitches in the program. Not connecting with the remote. One problem Im still faced with is that when on a device with more than one page the "page" button only works once, and I cant return. The brightness level is at max but could still stand to go more..
Review:Overall this remote will prove to be the leader in programable home theatre remote controls. Second only to the outrageously overpriced Crestron. In my eyes, for a single room control, the MX3000 is right up there with the ST1550C. If not better than.. (Crestron is coming out with it's "next generation" on June 9 so I might eat my words but we'll see!) Anyway, price and features wise this is the remote to get.
