Hello Everybody,

Excuse my poor English but I'm from France.

I am like an orfan since Philips stop the Pronto brand. I still have my old TSU 9400 but very soon with more and more bluetooth devices, wifi and so on, the TSU 9400 will die. More over, it was diffciult to install Pronto Pro edit on Windows 7, almost a nigthmare Under Windows 8 and 8.1 and impossible on Windows 10.

BUT today I have found this : http://www.neeo.com/ it is from a Kickstarter project. This remote has almost all the requirements, only one thing is missing, a software editor like pronto edit. They will have an API and I hope they will do a pronto editor like it will be amazing.

So I had a dream today, I had a dream where a Pronto like remote will reborn with all the ecosystem.

The Pronto ecosystem has more than 200 000 posts on this forum, it is at least 3 times more than any other remote brand, why ? because it was possible to do everything we want to do with a remote.

Hope the Neeo will do it or it will be again an Harmony like.

Hope this help

Regards

Alain

When did they say your NEEO would arrive after you pre-ordered it? Can't seem to find that info on their website?

Yes, but unfortunately delayed if you're in Europe.

My understanding is that the Neeo only supports predetermined codes they have in their database. So if you have a device they don't support too bad.

I strongly recommend against getting the Neeo, I have one and after almost a week of back-and-forth with with their tech I still can't use the remote. While my devices are "supported" the commands don't match the functions of any of my gear, I can't switch any of the inputs on my HDMI switches, AVR, or TV, and that's after several days. The remote can't learn custom commands. Any adjustments (that so far haven't fixed the remote), take about 24 hours for them to make on the server side before I can update the remote, only to learn that they didn't fix the issue. There currently isn't a way to learn commands. The remote, while a nice bit of physical manufacturing, crashes often, the UI is very glitchy, and though I haven't gotten it to the useable point to try it long enough to get a good sense, it seems like the battery drains very quickly. There also isn't an IR transmitter on the remote. My impression is that the company has a high likelihood of going out of business, and when it does, I suspect the remote will be undateable, and perhaps unusable. It was 2.5 years later that it was supposed to hit the market, and many other remotes have more functinoal, mature offerings. Avoid this remote.

Also, they call the devices that they can't work with "stupid" in the UI, even though remotes that I've had over a decade ago work fine with much of the gear I have.
