Hi All,
I'm looking for a new color touch screen remote to replace my old Sony RM AV3100.
I want something a bit more configurable than say the Harmony 1100.
I thought I had found a perfect match in the URC MX3000, but then I learned that it has to be programmed by an 'authorized' installer.
I read the reviews and forum posts on the Pronto TSU 7000 and I thought I could program it myself, but when I go to the website listed in the owners manual that I downloaded from the files section, (
www.pronto.philips.com), it says I must be a certified installer to log in.
I never thought it would be this much trouble to get a remote that I can set up myself!
Thanks for any insight you can provide.
Tom
URC doesn't "Require" it to be programmed by a pro, rather it's a really good suggestion. What they do require (to maintain your warranty) is that you buy it from an authorized dealer (who, at the dealer's option, can provide you with the software).
