Anyone have a codeset for the GRX-RS232 controlling a 3000 series Grafik Eye? Just need the basic codes, Scene 1-4, On, Off and Lower & Raise.

Anyone use these? Read through the docs but I am not very good at diciphering RS-232 and they lump all the manuals into one. Any help would be greatly appreicated.

Thanks

Scene 1-4: ":Ayx\r", where y=the target scene [0 - G] and x=the target control unit [1 - 8]. Example: recall Scene 4 on Controller 1 ":A41\r"

Zone Lower Start: ":Dxy\r", where x=the target control unit [1 - 8] and y=the target zones [0 - 8, optional]. If y is omitted, all zones will ramp. Example: lower all zones on Controller 1 ":D1\r", lower Zone 2 on Controller 4 ":D42\r", lower Zones 2 & 3 on Controller 4 ":D423\r"

Zone Lower Stop, Current Operation: ":Dx\r", where x=the target control unit referenced in the preceding [and running] Zone Lower Start command.

Zone Lower Stop, All Units: ":E\r"

Zone Raise Start: ":Bxy\r", see Zone Lower Start for detail.

Zone Raise Stop, Current Operation: ":Bx\r", see Zone Lower Stop, Current Operation.

Zone Raise Stop, All units: ":C\r"

Note, all commands are shown in ASCII format. "\r" represents a carriage return.

Thanks Steve, really big of you. Wondering if you could help answer another question or two:

1) How do you determine which controller is being used? In this case the GRX-RS232 is controlling only one 3000 unit in an office.

2) What is the best command to executre on a "Raise+" button considering it needs to consist of a start and stop button.

Thanks, Bell

Typically, if there's only one control unit, the address would be "1". It's been awhile since I've actually done the setup on one, but as I recall that info is set at the actual GrafikEye and not at the GRX controller.

When performing the ramp start/stop function[s], I typically send the start command when the user presses the associated 'ramp' button, then the stop command when the user releases said button. Exactly how you accomplish this is a bit variable...depends on the type of control system. In Crestronland, this is pretty straight forward...digital join XX [the button] goes high [is pressed], send the start command, the same digital join goes low [is released], send the stop command.
