Question:
To begin programming the T2+, is it possible to import/use any of my existing T2 program?
Or do I start from scratch?
edit: I see some program elements such as RS232 commands are sent directly to the RF module (a la Lex 700t) with 2.0: I realize these commands must be reprogrammed. This new software is excellent

T2+ and T1 now shipping !!!
They are much less bulky and alot lighter than the T2. Mostly due to the new Lithum Ion batteries. The display seems to be clearer as it is framed with a mirror like border. Even the "beep" sounds different. The T1 includes 96 keycap labels to replace the blank keys in the upper portion of the remote. It has an average use battery life of 20 - 30 days on one charge. The only way to learn new codes in the future will be the IR-PRO, as the T2+ and T1 will not receive IR.
Worth the wait.

Can the internal batteries be replaced by the end user when they "expire" or do you have to get the remote serviced?

The internal Battery is a lithium battery at 3.6V 850mAh. It can be easily replaced.

RTI says they will be stocking replacements, in a few months.

Hansi, This goes along with their push to keep this in the hands of the custom installers. Not a lot of end users want to spend the money for this thingy. Thanks for your order yours will ship tomorrow. Bill www.homeautomationnet.com

This is true, I tried both new and old libraries in 1.2 and 2.0 software and they seem to be interchangable. You could also paste in hex code from other sources. Bill www.homeautomationnet.com

Also another question, is the software included on CD in the T2+? Good idea to use the T2 to capture IR codes to put in the library for the T2+: should work fine- although if you have access to the IR Pro it streamlines the process No software is included with the T2+: it is available only from the RTI site and requires a password
