I have four RP-6 receivers and four RM-433 modules right now. I have already started to program using 2.0. Just waiting for the T2+s.

No one out here has seen any product yet, except for the beta stuff, further , RTI is not offering any actual delivery dates, so how did you get the parts?

Will the T2+ work with the IRF-6?

Parts are available to RTI dealers. These are not beta units.
The T2+ will not work with the IRF-6, the IRF-6 is 418 Mhz and the T2+ works at 433 Mhz.

Will there be some type of upgrade for the T2 and IRF6?

I doubt it as they operate at different frequencies. It would require a hardware upgrade on the T2. Maybe they will have a RM-418.

You have to ask RTI that one. I am sure they will still sell/repair the T2s in the future.

I am sure RTI’s T2 repair and replace programs will remain in effect for a while, so I would not worry too much about that. The new frequency the T2+ utilizes is the same as the new Sonance remote equipment, which is also designed by RTI. It is possible to swap out the stock T2 Lynx transmitter with the 433 model {we actually tried a 900Mhz chip swap once}, but I am not sure if the communication architecture will be compatible.
Further, everyone all the way down the chain of command is still saying that no product has been delivered to any Avid distributor. So I am puzzled where the product select has came from?

Would you like me to take a picture of the product, why must you continue to call me a liar? I know I am not the only one to receive product. Why is it so hard to believe that you are not the first?
In addition to changing the frequency of the T2, you must upgrade its firmware to work with the new software.

Don’t be offended, I don’t think you’re a liar; it’s just that this puzzles everyone I have talked to, They ask me the same thing, did you buy the product direct from RTI, from an avid distributor or someone else, that’s all I am really asking you, I am just curious.
I don’t believe changing the firmware on the T2 as well as the transmitter frequency is going to allow the T2 to work with the new RF receivers, as the architecture of the T2+ is a very different animal. The programming resides partially on the RP-6 when the T2+ is used in RF mode.

1) AVID
2) You can create macros that reside on the RP-6 or run macros/commands directly from the T2+.
