Hello

I’m having some troubles with an installed xp6 processor. The processor was installed at a client like one year ago. We have several T2i remotes which are connected through Zigbee ZM24 antennes. Since a few weeks something strange is going on.
Out of nowhere the remotes don’t work anymore.
We tried resetting the remotes and the zigbee antenne but this didn’t help.
When we deconnected the power of the xp6 en reconnected it again, it worked again… For one day it works fine, then the same problem happens anx requires the same solution
This keeps happening, sometimes nothing works, and sometimes some things work like putting the TV on, but when we turn it off, the audio of the integra keeps playing.

We have connected a Samsung TV via IR, a Loewe TV via RS232 and an Integra.

Any thoughts? To me it like it is a problem with the XP6 which freezes.
I reboot the xp6 and after one hour, it’s still the same problem.

Hope you guys can help.

Thanks in advance!

It could be from any number of different problems. You could have a bad power supply, you could have a driver causing the lock-up, you could have a memory issue in the processor or you could have corrosion on the IR output ports causing a short. Pull out the emitters and see if the ends are crusty.
Install the XP diagnostic driver and check for errors, crashes and other things.

Load a test configuration on with some functionality. I have seen processors freeze from a simple IR code that is corrupt. My guess is that it is something along those lines. If you have another system in the field with identical RTi equipment, load it on and see if you have the same issue. RTI tech would probably load it up and see if there is a problem as well. A big problem probably caused by a very small detail.

Where did you installed Zigbee ZM24? Move it out of equipment cabinet and place it far away from the equipment as possible.
