Help, I need to know if anyone has the discrete video input codes for a Panasonic PT-52DL10. Panasonic says that there are none. I find that hard to belive when I can see codes for the Panasonic HD Television that work with the Pronto. Any help is appreciated. Bill

Sad to say, I think Panasonic is correct. There are discrete codes for Video 1-4, plus the TV tuner, that are posted under the Pronto discrete files (Comp 1= Vid 4). I generated all 256 possible codes for my PT-52DL10 with various Pronto tools and tested every code but could not find a discrete for Comp 1-3 inputs. You can cut and paste the available discretes from the Pronto files into a T2 and they work great. Or, Dennis' cml file in the T2 file section here has most of the discretes in it for Panasonic "HDTV's." Very disappointing there is nothing for the component inputs. I can send you my cml or IR library files that have all the discretes for the PT-52DL10 if you would like.

Bill, I love the DLP. I did have the lamp burn out after about 2.5 months of use and it took about a week to get it replaced. But, watching TV is now an experience and not merely passing time. I have Panasonic TU-HDS20 DSS, but am less enthusiastic with it. A great feature set, but the colors are a little "cold", the OTA receiver is not as sensitive as I'd like, and the fan makes way too much noise. I'm looking for a better box. Any suggestion?. I'll email you the files tonight.

now you have me worried. I was planing to use that reciever in one other job. I've been told the Toshiba has the new chip in it and is around the same cost. Only the output on the component is 1080i only. We need a 480p or 720p. I was told the Panasonic can upscale to any format. What setting do you have yours at and are you only using the component out? I have found great price on a converter from component to RGB if you wish to covert to RGB. Please tell me what you mean by "cold". Thanks, Bill

Thank you Tom, Your info is great! I look forward to puting in this DLP now. I will let you know if I find anything out as far as the DSS goes but, from what I've seen as features go Panasonic wins. I'll email you that other link. You may find it usefull.
Thanks again,
Bill
