The reason that I want the XP8 on the big house audio jobs is its ability to multitask.

Right now, with an RP6, if two people are in different rooms hitting buttons at the same time, only one of them is going to get the result they are looking for. It hasn't been a major issue as of yet... I've been pretty lucky so far.

Thankfully I didn't spec any of these yet. I can't wait for it to come out though for its 2-way rs-232, everything else I can live without. So many of my customers with HAI systems that have RTI remotes controlling HVAC and lighting would upgrade in a heart-beat for feedback on the remotes.

I was talking with RTI Tech Support yesterday and they were saying a very limited supply would be going out next week. Take it with a grain of salt!

Most of my big jobs have 3 to 5 Rp-6 modules in the main
rack, why? Well for instance I have a customer with 11
plasma TV's 9 sat boxes dual XM radio, Xperinet server
and clients, 16 zone A/V switcher, a 16 camera matrix
switcher. RS232 thermostats, lighting control, motorized
blinds and so forth, I also usually have 3 - 5 CB4 connecting
blocks

With all of this... and no 2-way communication... I have to ask...

Why are you putting RTI in these jobs?

You are REALLY limiting all of the sub-systems you are selling by using RTI instead of a control system that can really make the most out of all of these?
