Have an install with:

HT with its own RP6/RM433 for T4 and other remotes and...
Whole house system with a separate RP6/RM433/CB4's for 10 Touchpads

-want to install an additional RM433 to cover some dead spots: can I connect the additional RM433 to BOTH RP-6's? each RP6 is set for a different system zone code

-have experienced some lockups on the whole house system where the RP6 is always receiving an IR signal from the CB4's: unplugging the cable from the CB4's to the RP6 corrects problem: made sure IR sensor is turned off in each TP and RM433 is not sending a signal: any ideas?

Thank you

On the dealer site under technical bulletins, under "Integration/Cabling", RP-6 cabling multiple together - there are several diagrams detailing sone unique processor setups. Give that a try and if it doesn't help please get back to me.

Thank you Vincent

I have looked at that but my specific question is if this applies if the RP6's I want to tie together with a common RM433 can have different zone codes?

I think the answer is yes but am looking for confirmation

I have never tried this, I alway like to keep the RM 433 seperated to be honest with you. I am working on a project right now where we have 5 RP-6's. 2 in the rack and 3 in local rooms. We are adding the RM433s today, but in the past I have put 2 RM433 in the local rooms, one for the local RP-6 and one for the rack RP-6.

It has worked well so I have not ried to screw it up... lol

You can wire them together. They will all have to be at the same zone ID if you want to program everything in a single programming file. In the remote properties you then specify which RP-6 is the default processor for the remote. Then you can override the default for certain buttons or system macros if need be.

It works.

Interesting, I might have to experiment with this today.

I alway use one file for each client, whether devices are linked or not...

Why would you use separate zone codes?

If you have an RP 6 with RM433 in the bedroom....
and an RP6 with RM433 in the theatre....

all you have to do is run IR + GND from one RP6 to the other, and now any remote can talk to either RP6 at any time.

Buttons can be set to talk to one RP6 or the other.
But if you put the buttons into "standalone" you can have a macro on the remote that sends trigger commands to one or BOTH RP6s.

Dont' see the benefit of having two RP6 in the same house, but not in the same TTD system.
...couple a thumb tacks and a stick of double sided tape should hold this baby up...
