Confirm that the ino I got said the T2cs is smaller. I couldn't get the size of the pixel grid out of my guy. But He said that he would at least take a tape measure to it at CEDIA.
I like the page + - on the U2. But was a little bummed to see a hard power button on the T3v.. BUT!!! There is a hard INFO button!

I do like the T3-V. If they'd just add some transport hard buttons, I think that it would be about the perfect remote. Any idea what the new resolution is?

It says VGA, which is 480x640 (portrait mode). Dino On August 30, 2007 at 09:35, cjoneill said...

Unless they're using the screen from the TSU9600 (possible I guess) it'll probably be QVGA like most others this size.

"Wrapped in a new contemporary design, the T3-V adds a host of new features that take it to a new level. Experience the eye-popping color of the 3.5” VGA touchscreen – the highest resolution display available." - from your writeup :) CJ

LOL, must have forgotten that somehow (been too busy lately). I don't know how many of you have seen a 640x480 screen in that small of a space, but it's amazing visually - like a high def - and totally suited to remote control use.

I want my XP-8 I want my XP-8 I want my XP-8 Forget that! The XP-9 is will be much more robust. It's expected to start shipping around 1st quarter 2024 with 2-way to follow by the 3rd quarter. j/k The new stuff looks sweet, if the T2Cs is indeed smaller it will be my favorite remote especially since I've now made mine RROHS compliant (Reversing the Removal Of Hazardous Substances). I'm happy to see the U2, always thought the U1 was cool but was challenging for people if you were doing anything outside of the regularly labeled buttons. The T3V looks like it finally got the network connectivity they always advertised in the original....Anyway, still excited just wish they'd deliver on at least most of the promises they've made before they make more. markrubin, the I'm just giving you a hard time about the XP-8. I'm almost positive they will actually make and ship this product someday (without 2 way)...

I am very skeptical about the new remote - it seems like people tend to favor the T2-C over the T-3 , so why make the same thing with more graphical cpability? It wseems the users/CI's want something like the T3 with more hard buttons like the T2-C. Why not mesh together the two designs?

Well, this is what they say in the press release, so I don't think you have to guess very much: "The addition of wireless Ethernet and a built-in web browser allows the user to access web pages, IP-addressable devices and utilize IP control for web based integration applications." Zigbee?? Zm-24??
"....which provides bi-directional communication between two-way enabled RTI remote controls and control processors utilizing Zigbee wireless communication."
Which remotes are zigbee ready? Why won't Control4 leave me alone :(
