Yes they do emit radio frequency interference, although I haven't experienced interference with 2.4GHz phones or cell phone or 900 MHz baby monitor. I doubt that they would be allowed to share/interfere with health equipment frequencies. I can speak from experience that the RF remote for my DirecTV H-20 receiver is blocked for the first 5 to 10-minutes after my Pioneer PDP-505HD is turned on. I had to switch to IR mode or continue to face wrath of wife who didn't like being forced to watch ESPN for 10 minutes in morning.
