Thanks to everyone for the information about this remote. I saw it in United Airlines' Hemispheres magazine this weekend at $169 and would have been willing to buy it at that price. Fortunately, I decided to see if I could find it for less on the Internet and found this message board. Just ordered it from Alex at J&R (800-221-8180, Ext. 1023) for $115.20 ($105 plus 2-day shipping). I'll have it on Wednesday!

I just got mine brand new for $85 from Circuit City in Cincinnati. Just talked to my friend who's a manager and he got it for me at that price no questions asked.

Well, I ordered mine back in October from J&R for $105 US but alas, I never received it. Someone in the US or Canadian postal system got a nice gift for Christmas! Getting another or a refund is a BIG pain! Had to have a form sent Snail Mail to me which took forever. (don't know why they couldn't E-mail it!!)and now they want it notorized before I send it back!!(More money!!!)
This great deal has gone sour REAL fast. No more mail order for me. What realy burns me is that I could have went down to my local SONY store and got one for $19.00 more Canadian! Live and learn.
