I plan on using this remote not only to control my hometheater setup, but also my bedroom tv. Does the Sony have a built in sleep timer (my bedroom tv doesnt) that would turn my tv off for me? Thanks for your help.

Good thing about not having a clock in this thing might mean that its Y2K compliant. :)
The previous remote I used (which I was quite happy with, and may post a comparo review here on) is the All-In-One HomeProducer8. There is a nearly identical A/VProducer 8, and both have wealth of features that can be run off of its clock, including a sleep function.

Don't buy an A/V Producer 8. I had one, and took it back. The buttons were all mis-mapped on the programmed keys, and it would not learn on the keys that you REALLY NEEDED IT TO!
One big flaw--It would turn on the PIP on my Sony TV with the mapped keys from the pre-programmed code, but GUESS WHAT--it would not turn OFF the PIP!!
The people that designed the remote had their heads You-Know-where, and tech support was non-existent.
One person's opinion......
