If he's been unsuccessful with a search it's unlikely there is a code.

I have my third jumbo remote now. The first two were from Innovage, but this new one is from Emerson. They all pretty much work the same.
I am posting to let everyone know that there is a bit of a trick to using the search option when trying to program a Motorola cable box. The cable box must be powered on before you begin.
1. Start by holding down the code search button until the LED light becomes solid.
2. Press the cable button once, the LED will remain solid.
3. Begin to press the power button over and over until the cable box powers off.
4. Wait until the cable box powers back up, which it should do automatically, once it is back on, then push the enter button. You have to do this at just the right time or the remote will not save the code correctly, and you will have to start all over.
Hope this helps those folks with these cable boxes that there is no code for. Good Luck all, Melissa.
