Hello,
I just bought a Denon AVR-1800 reciever/amp which I love. It came with what appears to be a robust Universal Remote (RC-863), with an LCD and the ability to operate 8 devices. However, I've had a terrible time getting it to operate any of my devices. (My recent model RCA VCR, for example) The remote takes 4-digit codes, but the manual includes no codes. Any ideas on where I can find these codes? The trial & error "auto-search" mode doesn't seem to be helping. Has anyone had any luck with these remotes (or similar Denon models?) Any help would be appreciated!!

Hey - me again.... I found the code sheet in my stack of papers... so all my components are working... except that the RCA Home Theatre VCR is not quite there yet. I can change the channels up/down, but not by direct number access... oh well. If anyone can help, that would be great.
