Hello,

I just bought a Denon AVR-1800 reciever/amp which I love. It came with what appears to be a robust Universal Remote (RC-863), with an LCD and the ability to operate 8 devices. However, I've had a terrible time getting it to operate any of my devices. (My recent model RCA VCR, for example) The remote takes 4-digit codes, but the manual includes no codes. Any ideas on where I can find these codes? The trial & error "auto-search" mode doesn't seem to be helping. Has anyone had any luck with these remotes (or similar Denon models?) Any help would be appreciated!!
