This first started happening a few firmare upgrades ago with the TSU3000. I owned a TSU3000 at the time. I ended up returning the TSU3000 and purchasing a TSU7000. It was smooth sailing for just a couple months when the TSU7000 got its next firmware update. The same changes were made with regards to IR duration. Once again all my Sony DVD player codes required that .1 second delay action just prior to the learned IR code in the action list.
The last major firmware update for the TSU7000 was end of last year. Philips did not have enough time to develop and include a fix for this issue then. With the latest TSU3000 firmware update things are finally to back where they were prior to the problems starting. Many have confirmed that the updated firmware takes care of this issue.
All that being said, there is another firmware/editor update in the works for the TSU7000. This issue will be resolved for TSU7000 owners as well once this next firmware update is released. If you own any Sony DVD players there is a different workaround available as to avoid the need to add those .1 second delay actions. It involves modifying the IR codes which is very easy to do. Link to my post explaining how to do this can be found
here. :-) My Sony IR codes were the only ones affected fortunately. Hopefully it won't be too long before the next firmware update comes out for the TSU7000. Hang in there.
